If you look at the past era of human civilization, the women’s empowerment movement has never taken off so steadily as it has now.
The way we envision the world is changing. From living with a care-free attitude to understanding the need to change the way we live is a movement that is consistently growing. Sports and nutrition are clear examples of how we are starting to change as a society. People are attributing to the understanding that sports are important to keep your body and mind fit, as well as following nutritional habits and diets. But above this layer, now we have the next step of the movement which is a shift in societal behavior towards women. Painstakingly so, for centuries women have been suppressed from a pivotal role in society. It wasn’t too long ago that women won the right to vote, and yet we pretend like it was centuries ago. The race to winning equal rights for women all around the world is far from over.
Even though it starts on how we treat women in western civilizations, it’s equally important to acknowledge the women who have to grow up in a culture that doesn’t stand for equality. This month we look to how we can contribute to the movement of women empowerment. We look at pioneers in the business world who are changing their business models to stand for the equal rights of women. We notice game changers in the way we think about what it means to stand for equality and how we can look to support our communities individually and as a group. Clubsportive has recently started to acknowledge the changes we can make as an organization to create awareness for important topics. Starting from the #plasticfreestory, where we aim to go plastic-free, to creating awareness for an “equal-rights” world.
